Ο Μονς Σελμερλοβ κέρδισε την πρωτιά στην 69^η Eurovision, με την ερμηνεία ενός τραγουδιού με θέμα το μπούλινγκ. «Είμαστε όλοι ήρωες της εποχής μας», λέει στο ρεφρέν το ‘Heroes’ που έγραψαν οι Λίνεα και Τζοι Ντεμπ, ο Αντον Μάλμπεργκ αφ Σέγκερσταντ.

Ο Μονς Σελμερλοβ δεχόταν μπούλινγκ. « Όταν ήμουν μικρός είχα κάποια προβλήματα με το να κάνω φίλους, δεχόμουν μπούλινγκ στην τάξη μου και ήταν όλοι στραμμένοι εναντίον μου», έχει εξομολογηθεί ο Μονς, προσθέτοντας ότι το ανθρωπάκι που τον συνοδεύει στη σκηνή συμβολίζει τον έναν και μοναδικό φίλο που είχε και στάθηκε στο πλευρό του, εμψυχώνοντας τον να μη το βάλει κάτω.
